PERI Members Who Live Out of State Have Representation on our Board

(June 1, 2021)  Several PERI members who retired out-of-state have asked us how they can have their views heard by the PERI Board?  As most everyone knows, PERI’s Board of Trustees has eleven District Representatives who cover eight counties each across Ohio.  Individuals and chapter members in these districts can contact their district representative to express their opinions on a variety of topics of concerns.

For those who live out of state, there appears to be no such representative on the PERI Board.  In reality you have always had representation but it bears repeating.  If you live out-of-state and want to contact the appropriate District Representative, simply call or email the District Representative who represents the county in which you last worked when employed in the public sector prior to retirement.  Their contact information is available on the PERI website: and on the back of the PERI Perspectives newsletter.

I am concerned about the OPERS financial situation and the need to outsource the Health Insurance. What happened to the financial review that the Ohio Governor was asking for?
